WHY 5.7 ROUNDS?

When Joel Godett was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes one of his first questions was "what is a normal blood sugar level?"

The answer was that every person is different and when you have T1D you're certainly far from normal.  That wasn't good enough.

The doctor said that anything below 5.7% was considered non-diabetic or "normal."  Well, the body doesn't regulate itself when you have T1D, but that became Joel's goal: Normal.  He wasn't going to reach it, but that would be the target.

With that in mind, the WOD for the T1D Takedown is 5.7 rounds for time, creating a uniqueness to the workout, its purpose and the event.
